This episode was so very funny. Victor Garber was outstanding and so not what you would expect. There is another episode about a bathtub ham made by the mother that is great as well. The high class gay father couldn't believe that the ham was so good. He had to sneak around to eat that woman's ham. It's a shame that the ABC execs axed such a funny show. The gay fathers were portrayed by real life gay actors. They didn't seem to have a problem with the writing and were great. The straight family was so funny, the father is Archie Bunker reborn. The mother really funny and typical Boston. The freaky daughter added lots of comedy as well.
This was one of the top 3 episodes on a great show that didn't get enough support. In fact, I feel this was THE BEST episode of the show. My daughter disagrees, she likes the Bathtub Ham episode. Victor Garber from Titanic and Alias guest stars as the "Not really GAY" Gay party planner. His lines about waiters with no shirts on are very funny. The two gay dads are funny as usual. Mace has some really funny stuff when he finds out that the Doctor he just saw and was impressed with turns out to be gay. Liz, the really hot blonde, who does a great job on the show, does some funny lines trying to be tougher. The casting on this show was fantastic! The mom and dad are really funny together, and Bobby's sister is a funny kind of party girl.
