  • Unexpectedly Moving

I picked this movie to watch because of the title of the movie. I knew 'gook' means something offensive to Asian people in English, but in Korean language, it's not an offensive word so it made me curious. This movie didn't grabbed my undivided attention in the beginning, but more and more into the story, I got so hooked. This movie made me laugh and cry both. I really enjoyed watching the film. Seeing the characters' connections to each other slowly being revealed as the riot got more heated in the story really built the drama. It was very rewarding film to watch. The acting in this film is crazy awesome. I'm so looking forward to see another film by the same artists again!! Please~~make more films!

  • Like a gentle pet on the head to the American government out of pity. Very effective.

I love the part where the guy touched the president's car! I loved how the director depicted the reaction of the security officer who was describing the incident. I was laughing so hard during that scene. It's such a clever film. It was like a very gentle blow on the face of the American president and the government. I'm sure Bush watched the film and cried during his funeral scene. I almost cried and I truly felt sorry for Bush at some point and I laughed at myself. It was funny because it's so realistically A&E style. And very smart because it covers multiple angles of the same event. And at the same time, it is like a light slap on the face of the US government. It's so gentle that it doesn't even hurt...actually...it's probably more like a pet on the head out of pity. That's why it works so well for the present audience with the present eyes. Thank you filmmakers for making this film. There should be more and more films in this caliber. I've learned a lot from you. Sometimes you got to be gentle with people to have them listen to your message. I think this director might have had the US president to listen this time.

  • So funny, I almost pee my pants!

It's the most provocatively pure hearted film I've seen about family life! It really reminded me of my family, although we are a family from South Korean. I have one older brother who is little bit too emotional, like that brother character in the film, a grandma who gave all the love she had and died by herself in her bedroom from old age, a mom and a dad who work together in a pyramid type of business. And I always been the young naive one everyone tried to protect from the cruel reality. Now that I am 27, an adult, independent, I appreciate my weird family and my childhood. And this film really described the importance of family in the most funny and entertaining way. Thank you, filmmaker of "Little Miss Sunshine!" This film was really worth every second of my viewing time. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to your next film! -an independent filmmaker from Canada, Toronto
