Not sure, where to begin. I was expecting the movie to be like this, so basically what I have expected turned to be true.
My expectations were the movie won't be much about the space flight and the Moon landing, but more about some kind of family drama. Maybe that is the reason I avoided this movie up until now, September 2025.
And boy, I was right. If they only turned down the most of the "family drama" and got focused more on the actual flight, it would be the pilot/engineer paradise. As a fly enthusiast my self, I would love to go deeper much on a training and building a motivation of main characters, because of this.
But this movie builds the character over family drama and I find it kinda inapropriate. The movie was soooo dragged, not that I was bored, but I had to skip a lot of scenes, because I didn't care about "wife going to car", while there was a suspense about going to the ship.
As I was saying, the pacing is very strange and in most of scenes it was broken by flashbacks and totally useless scenes about the family life.
But still, I like how to movie looks like, the visual, the music is VERY good, I love the simple theme just done with different arrangements (basically the landing music in more variations during the whole film). I like the minimalism in it, yes, Hans Zimmer could do some epic stuff around it, but it is not necessary, for this kinda silent movie.
About characters, I didn't like the Armstrongs portrayal as a cold guy, there was nothing much to lean on as a viewer.

I like the camera work, I like the acting, actors, it all works. But the movie is too long for the content it has, there are multiple subplots, which steers the focus from the main plot. I would love to have the movie being just about Hannibal and the Paci guy.
I love how they incorporated the original "Paci" story to the movie, but because of other subplots (which are for nothing), it fails to deliver, basically.
For example the first 20 minutes of the movie are hollow, that should be only mentioned, not filmed in full.
Same with the Paci guy wife, why is she there at all?
There ale plenty of such strange decissions, which just inflate the movie without any substance.
If the movie is better cut to the 90-ish minutes, I would give it 7 or 8, but this is 2h 11m long inflated one.

This episode takes an unusual turn, focusing heavily on Jane's instincts. The plot feels a bit contrived as everything hinges on his gut feeling that someone might be a danger to others, which isn't substantiated enough initially. While this showcases Jane's unique skills, it also stretches believability a bit too far, making it feel more like a filler episode. That said, the dynamic between the team is still engaging, and there are some entertaining moments of tension and humor that keep it from being dull.
Not that I disliked it-it's a solid episode with good performances and some suspenseful scenes, but it doesn't quite hit the heights of the show's best episodes. It's a typical mid-season outing that delivers enough to be enjoyable without standing out. I'd give it a 7/10, as it's decent but not particularly memorable.
