Shawn Ryan with the Shield has proved he is one of the best writers in Hollywood. This show is full plot twist and makes you sit on the edge of your seat. Countless times it seems Macky or his crew will get caught to get out of it the last minute.
The camera work is great. It's shot similar to cops where the camera is moving during a chase or bust to give the viewer the allusion that they are also on the move. The music is good. They tend to use modern songs and authentic Mexican music. The music will amp you up during chase or bust.
The show has won Emmys and golden globes. Honestly if this show were on HBO it would have gotten acclaim similar to the sopranos. If it were on network TV and could still be as edgy it would get the honors 24 got. It the best drama I've seen.

Well, the movie was no terrible, but whomever created the screen play did not do a good job of even creating the essence of unger. This movie was slightly below average and did not tell the story correctly on one of the most interesting persons ever born. I suggest reading the book "one of a Kind" the real unger story. They left out huge parts of his life. They also at times did not understand the real caractor that he was. The actual facts of his life were at times out of order. And in the end they really did not portray the actual personality that he did have. So please don't watch the movie; read the book. By the way I'm not just some prick who feels you have to stay 100% to the real story, but they did not even come close!!!
