  • R.I.P Paul "Legend" Newman

The word legend gets used all to easily now a days. But in this man i think it is an under-statement. On and off the screen this man was a giant ! My condolences must go out to his family.

In my mind he was the last real link between the old Hollywood and the Hollywood of today. I bet you can not find a single person in the movies or in life that would have a bad word to say about him.

Butch Cassidy is one of my favourite films of all time but i could pick 10 or more of his films that would make my list of favourites of all time, that was the calibre of his work.

Over here in England he is on the front covers of all the major news papers today which times as they are and things that are going on in the world right now speak volumes of how much this screen legend will be missed.

    RIP Paul Newman........

  • I Wanted to Love Indy 4 This Much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off i am not a mega comic book hero fan Spider-Man, Hulk Superman,Iron Man etc all good films but never to make it into my top 10 ten of all time.

This coming summer Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal skull was the film i wanted love the most. After seeing it i like it but i came away feeling a little bit empty.

So when the Dark Knight came round i was looking forward to it, Really wanted to see what Heath Ledger did with the Joker, i also liked Batman Begins. So we went on the opening night did want to find out what was in the movie from other people.

From the opening Bank robbery(which was awesome and the music in those opening scenes set the tone for the whole film) to the closing credits was simple the best film i have ever seen and i have seen a lot.

The pace of the film, the story and the depth of the characters with out boring you is just handled so well. Christian Bale has made Batman his own now, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent is first class. The expansion of Gary Oldman as Gordon is also very welcome . Finally Heath Ledger as the Joker to play a character so cold and Evil but at the same time he makes you kind of like him as well. Only god knows where this young man would have taken his career after this film and as i was watching his performance i felt sad that we will never see him on the screen again.

Just go see for yourself what all the hype is about and just sit back and enjoy the ride of the summer or maybe of all time ? ....................10/10

  • Gutted Gutted Gutted

I have had this DVD in my collection for a while now and was really looking forward to watching it. How could it miss, you've got Danny Dyer (who i think is a very underrated actor), The England football team playing in Euro 2004, and a half descent story line involving Danny Dyer's character trying to see the first 3 England group games (on their honeymoon) without his other half finding out he already had the tickets before they left.

I am thinking this could be ,Is harry on the boat meets Football Factory a cocky lad's film a real Brit classic. How wrong i was. I was gutted a real let down. Watching it i felt it tried to be to many things it should have just been a comedy and used Danny Dyer in that lad role he does so well. Also without giving too much away what the hell are those 2 guys doing commentating on whats going on in the film that was really annoying.

So do yourself a favour if your Danny Dyer fan watch The Business, Outlaw or Football Factory. If you want a chick flick leave the other half to it and go to the pub.
