  • Hard to find a better show out there

When I watched the first few episodes of "Six Feet Under", I did not expect it would be one of the best shows I have ever seen. The initial episodes looked boring and were not action packed. Since then, the characters have grew on me and I have grew on them. The Story revolves around an extended family of individuals whom reunite after the father, Nathaniel, the owner of a funeral parlor passes away. One man, David, is a closeted homosexual and his brother, Nate, is a sex crazed man who ran away from home at a young age. The youngest sibling, Claire, is only in High School and is struggling to find her identity, while the man's wife, Ruth, struggles to find love again. Through the series, we are introduced with many other characters who interact with the family and the events that go on in their lives. The main them is life and death. Through the show we encounter all aspects of life: fear, love, hatred, confusion, compassion, sorrow, life, and death. If there ever was a show that could divulge the meaning of life, this would be the show.

  • Best Indian Crime Movie

Nayakan is one of the best Indian crime movies out there and definitely a genius idea from the mind of critically acclaimed Mani Ratnam. The story revolves around a young boy who witnesses his father's death for being a labor leader. Thus starts the boy's rise in being a head gangster of a village. Tragedy always awaits him and through the movie, the audience is prompted to ponder about the central theme over and over again: is Nayakan good or bad. Extraordinary acting by Kamal Hassan and many themes are taken from the Godfather series (when Nayakan is old, Hassan also puts meat in his cheeks to get the voice of Marlon Brando from Godfather). All in all, a great watch and a beautiful finish. Highly recommended.

  • Why did Disney ruin my look on the characters?

I recently watched the original Pocohontas after such a long time and was so inspired by the original, that I told myself I would watch the second. I watched Pocohontas 2 and was thoroughly thoroughly disappointed. I felt that the first half of the movie had barely any story and revolved around the hummingbird, the raccoon and the dog. The second half of the movie contained the whole plot and was squeezed so that it seemed like a rush. The plot and the emphasis on the animals was not the worst. The worst was the depiction of John Smith. In the first movie, he transformed from a selfish and action chasing man to a kind and selfless man (evident by him giving his life to save the chief). The movie turned him completely into a selfish man only worried about himself and one who didn't seem in love with the woman that he should of been. Please do not watch this movie. My idea of John Smith is completely obscured and I have been thoroughly disappointed.
