  • Simple awesome

Great script. Great direction. Unknown lead character but really does his part with conviction. Old timers and experienced actors in Paresh Rawal, Om Puri and Ravi Kishen once again live up to their expectation. Actually there is nothing that is to mention about that's what make this film so special. Smooth sailing story about a villager finding it tough to adjust the fast life of Mumbai. But awesome timing. The item song actually adds a special touch, including the other songs I would say the movie pays a tribute the simply bollywood style. Recently we have seen quite a few movie which tries to undermine the bollywood style of song sequences, but why do that when you can merge smartness with epiphany.

Well everything was so good that I was tempted to give it full marks, but the ending could have been improved in my view. A little more witty climax would served the purpose well.

Last but not the least its a story resembling circular endings, and their circular stories, are often the shape that quest-adventure stories take on. The main character sets out on a quest to find or learn or accomplish something, passes through trials, and finally succeeds in his mission and returns home with his prize to share (often insight or wisdom). Ultimately, the protagonist grows/changes/achieves then brings that wealth back home to alter his preexisting everyday life. Full circle. Beginning and end mirror and contrast one another.

And here becomes a saheri babu (:P)

Well this movie retains the essence it's title, it's totally idiotic. Never mind the light reference to someone in special in the Indian TV world. Well Hrishitaa proves herself once again that though she has a funny bone but no glamor or acting capability as such. When Sushant Singh first came in the scenario he showed a lots of promise but I guess he has lost the edge, reminds me of Irfaan Pathan (the cricketer :P). And what with the awful accent of his trying to mimic someone! Well Surendra Pal as himself (or not didn't get it though) was cool addition I would say. The side kicks Upasna Singh and Milind Gunaji did there part well. With a special mention to Upasna, she is like lady Johny Leven, these days no movie is complete without her. She seems to fill the place left by Tuntuni as a consistent female comedian. Anyways it was good past time. Low budget film with low budget stars did keep its promise as a low budget time pass comedy.

PS: The second half is better plotted than the first.

  • Awful

Just saw this movie, couldn't help myself to write the review. Well I was tempted to see this movie as I liked some the Vikram Bhatt movies, but this was totally out his league (inversely). Well the plot building was pretty good. But somewhere in the middle he lost it.

Initially the reason for the curse was something and in the end it changed to something else. Then I thought the Kaya was from the royal family, so I couldn't reason why Aman would not be able to manage a free ticket to the palace. Then if the spirit was suppose to be so strong why would it possess the professor's body. So ultimately the plot was a waste.

But the direction again was awesome. The set was good. So was the environment and the music. And even the spirit was pretty impressive. But what with the crawling on the wall. So ultimately the rating from me would so-so.

PS: Here comes Aditya Narayan, pretty impressive, watch out for him. He is a talented actor.
