The original Welsh language version was called Y Bore Merched, which translates as One Wednesday Morning. A more accurate title as it refers to the events of S:1, E:1 when Faith's husband does his disappearing act.
I found the original Welsh language version, shown on S4C, the better version, even though I do not speak Welsh myself. It is more believable. I would admit that I did not notice the change of actor between the Welsh and English versions as I was under the impression that the scenes were shot back to back in each language.
The story line over all series/episodes kept you glued to the program.

Just watched this very enjoyable film.
Interesting to see who the writers were, if you are from UK you will know of their comedy output for the BBC.
Although set in London police cars and ambulance apparently have a very french sounding sirens.

Just watched this film, and at 72 years old it's the first time I have seen this.
My wife and myself enjoyed trying to name the actors before we saw the cast list, picking out Kathleen Harrison, Jimmy Clitheroe and Valentine Dyall. Must admit to not recognising any other participants. An enjoyable light hearted piece of entertainment.
