I don't generally watch the Movies and Mysteries channel because I don't believe in murder for entertainment. The teasers look promising so i decided to give it a shot. So happy to watch one that was an engaging movie that had no murders. We need more like this!! Evidently I have to write more characters so I'm writing more. So what else can I say? I still have to say more so here I am. I didn't want to give away any of the story just that it is really good. Still more to write. If you like Hallmark movies I highly recommend this one. Of course there are the usual tropes of romance but the mystery is quite different.
My wife and I watch every darn movie these channels put out and this is one of worst. I genuinely don't like any of the characters and especially hated all of the lead characters. Yes I expect the ones on the movies and mysteries channel to be more dramatic and schmalty. But this one has presented very two dimensional characters with no redeemable qualities. I normally like Andrew Walker but his stunted development and lack of warmth is terrible. Honestly I have not even finished watching the movie yet but I had to get this off my chest. I'm sure everyone will live happily ever after but in the meantime I feel like yelling at the tv every two minutes.
We watch every stinking one these movies and I never post reviews. The premise of this one is really sticking in my craw. The boyfriend of the female lead won't hire her because she isn't a Master Sommelier. I googled it and there have only been 269 worldwide who have obtained it since the certification was created in 1969. So the statical possibility of his hiring requirement is beyond ridiculous.
