Everything about this show is individually outstanding and when combined make a TV series that is compelling from start to finish. The acting is a masterclass on how to act, the small little characteristics that each actor brings makes each role unique. Sandra Oh is amazing as Eve but Jodie Comer really stands out in this. Her depiction of Villianelle makes this murderous psychopath a character you can't help but adore. I'm so excited to delve deeper into her back story in season 2 because there is such a depth that underlines everything she does and it's intriguing. The writing is simply perfect, comedy intertwined with gritty drama. Usually the comedy in these types of shows comes across as out of place and silly but never in Killing Eve, the comedy comes at the right times causing the intended effect. The soundtrack is stunning, i've spotified everything! The locations are dreamy. Seriously i could gush about this show for weeks, i've already watched the series twice. If you are reading this then please just do yourself a favour and go watch it. You won't regret it.
Very rarely does a film portray the confusing and beautiful moment of falling in love as a teenager. This story of a young girl called Yolanda, who finds herself learning to deal with her growing feelings toward her best friend Marie, is so accurate it can't help but to catapult you, as the viewer, back to your own moment in time when you had to deal with learning how to figure out feelings that go beyond just friendship. This film does it perfectly in the most subtle of ways. Beautiful film, beautiful story and beautiful acting. Especially good for any young questioning and/or LGB adults out there wanting characters or a story to relate to. I wish this film was around when I was a confused 15 year old girl, it would have given me hope.
