I consider the true history of the American Revolution, and the establishment of our present Constitution, as lost forever; and nothing but misrepresentations, or partial accounts of it, will ever be recovered. (John Adams) Never was that quote so true as with this pathetic, over reaching example of the American revolution in film. I missed it on Television so I purchased the set on Amazon. I watched part 1 and some of part 2. I was literally cringing and screaming at my TV. So as not to have debris spread all over my living room for taking a hammer to it I calmed myself long enough to toss the garbage into the trash. In case my views are not clear. The makers should be tarred and feathered. At least then they could claim that they have some knowledge of what it was actually like to live during that time. As it stands now, its clear the producers haven't a single clue.
Star Wars, Lord Of The Rings and Transformers all rolled into one. With the exception, of course, the other 3 films were great. This one is embarrassing to watch. I wondered out loud whether this was meant to be a joke or perhaps an homage to those wonderfully campy and totally absurd sci-fi B movies of the 1950s. I mean can you imagine being one of the actors and having to participate in something like this!? My negative review has nothing at all to do with this film's total disregard for the Biblical text. I knew when the rock guys or whatever they're called (yeah, yeah I know the watchers) showed up this was trash. I stuck it out and tried to watch (no pun) based on what it is. Not a Bible story. But, an attempt by the writer to bastardize one of the most recognizable lessons in the Book. What you won't see in Noah: Non-spoiler alert! Mankind paying for generations of their sins. God speaking to Noah. Noah and his family eating meat. (Could not believe this buffoon of a writer made them vegans.) Oh, and, Noah's ultimate fall. Is it a story about allot of water and a big boat? Yes it is. And that's where any similarity between this movie and the story we all know ends. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Another asinine Hollywood production. Did I say homage to B movies? How about D- movies!
So here we have it Pilgrim villains versus Indian turkeys, you're joking? Here's another typical Hollywood, liberal distortion of facts, tradition and values. It's always the menacing white man that has it in for everything and anything that's poor and helpless. Are we too stupid to realize what this idiotic flick is actually about? Let's target kids. Get the kiddies turned off to meat and while we're at it let's make them hate those folks who survived a treacherous 3 month journey and came near to death to attain freedom and remove themselves from tyranny. Unbelievable! Thanks to the indigenous peoples that were here, by God's grace, who helped them survive. You see this is why the Pilgrims set that day aside to thank God. They understood that the help they received was a miracle. The more I think about this piece of trash flick the more angry it makes me. This is a perfect example of Hollywood producers who are desperate to add more vegan, liberals to their ranks. Hey Mosier and Hayward shame on you. Parents beware. Do not let your kids watch this movie!
