Season two is a total bore making very little sense and pretty much nothing happens.
It's a huge shame as season one showed so much promise but season two looks like they just couldn't be bothered any more. When a show or a movie becomes boring you lose interest and this means even if it gets back on track nobody cares any more. I continued with this but as another review says, it's like a bad book, you finish it just because you want to know how it ends.
If this ends with the promise of another season, it needs to be much, much better than this one.
And make it lighter, as in you can actually see what's going on please.

Not one likeable character hence nobody I am rooting for. It feels like I've seen it all before. The style and narrative is derivative and it lacks any originality. The story is fragmented without any cohesion at all. It feels like one of those productions that relies on negativity being dismissed as ignorance when really it is honestly just a jumbled mess without any humour or real smartness. I loved the end of the world but this is terrible. I have always thought of JG as over rated but likeable enough to get away with it but here he just phones it in, he doesn't even bother to be that JGIsh. In all, this is very disappointing. Even the narrator doesn't give it much and all he is doing is reading. Very poor.
I saw this at the cinema today and I wished I'd waited for it to come on TV. I'm a big fan of the original and this pales greatly in comparison. A lot of the characters were unlikeable and I didn't really warm to any of them so that I was rooting for their safety and survival.
This is a big movie and it says something when the most well known cast member is no longer with us. The rest all have a very short CV and you can tell. Nobody is bad, just there isn't anyone with a significant screen presence and the overall result is that despite the brilliant creatures, it all feels a little unexciting. There are one or two decent passages but I kind of left the theatre thinking, why did they bother? You just expect more from something Ridley Scott is involved in.
