Highest to Lowest was a huge waste of talent and time. Denzel and Jeffrey Wright are some of the finest actors in the business. The rest seemed like they couldn't act or walked through their rolls. Denzel and the wife completely over acted their parts. Jeffrey Wright seemed to finally settle in. But everyone had cringy dialogue and not even the super stars could save this movie from itself. It was an interesting idea. But it was poorly written, poorly directed and lacked any kind of direction. It was downright stupid by the end. It was like a 10-year-old's puzzle and they had to fit the very obvious pieces back together to make it (somewhat) whole again. A lot of it didn't make any sense and seemed very self-indulgent. I bet the stars of the show will be scratching their heads in a few weeks and asking themselves why they did this one.
Board meeting notes while discussing this movie:
1. How many ways can we think of to kill people in 1 movie?
2. How much blood can we use with each kill?
3. Is 500 vs 3 believable if the 3 win?
4. How many bullets does 1 gun carry.?
5. If 3 people kill 5,000, will they still notice that there is still a familiar, stale plot?
6. How many bullets does it take to kill 1 person?
7. Do punches and hyper violent fight scenes hurt?
8. Everybody knows how to fight better than Bruce Lee, right?
9. How many times can we get the audience to say - I have never seen anyone get killed in that fashion before?
I enjoy a good thriller as much as everyone else. But this was so far over the top, it just got more ridiculous as the move went on... and on... and on.

It had potential, but got lost in its complicated plot, multiple characters, bad dubbing and drawn out episodes. All the Polish character names where difficult to differentiate, which made it complicated to figure out who was talking about whom. It got drowned in the plot twists that - for style - got so twisted, that it was difficult to follow. And by the time we got to the point of the story at the end & it finally started to make a little sense, it just didn't matter. It wasn't worth the wait. The bad guy was fantastic - very menacing. The lead woman was good. I just wish it was in English, because I would have liked her more without the bad dubbing. The rest of the large cast just blended together and got lost in the mix. Too bad - because it had potential. It was just too slow, boring and confusing.
