  • Incredibly Overlooked and Underrated

Patrice O'Neal, rest in peace, was a longtime NYC area comic who I initially was not a big fan. I had seen him on several things on comedy central as well as several sets at the comedy cellar. However, when I watched this comedy special air on comedy central it completely altered my perspective on his comedic abilities. This is an incredibly funny and partially improvisational set that has virtually no unfunny segments. I honestly would say it is one of the best sets I have ever seen. If you can't find somewhere, download it at the pirate bay. Anyway, do not miss this rarely seen and completely overlooked comedy gem.

  • one of the most unique films ever made

this film is incredibly unique and ahead of its time. i simply cannot believe that star wars is in the top 25, with its awful acting, directing, and simplistic storyline and a fantastic feminist noir decades ahead of its time and incredibly satirical dialogue that is consistently mislabeled as "campy" even by academics. IT IS A MOCKERY OF THE CLASSIC REPRESSED SMALL TOWN 50'S America LIFESTYLE, PLEASE GET WITH THE PROGRAM! You can see where other brilliant film makers such as David Lynch got their influences from....in particular when comparing this to Blue Velvet (another one of the best films ever made). Blue Velvet and The Naked Kiss not in the top 250, but Star Wars and Back To The Future in the top 25?!? Two of the most predictable formulaic Hollywood films ever made (though made well) are that much higher ranked then two films that are incredibly unique and set out to smash the standard Hollywood conventions don't even make the top 25.....:( Sometimes I feel like IMDb users are voting on popularity rather then artistic uniqueness and quality, which is total garbage. Both of these films annihilate star wars and back to the future and I think you will agree with me if you watch all four closer.

  • the most underrated Vietnam movie ever!

This movie is extremely underrated! Gene Hackman and Danny Glover are excellent (as usual), and an excellent supporting performance from Clayton Rohner! Some haters are posting that it doesn't follow the true story line...come on people, this is Hollywood... have you not learned yet? Cinematography is excellent and its unique in that it does not make war seem cool like so many other ridiculous movies. Danny Glover's best performance outside of the Royal Tenenbaums, i don't care what anyone says lethal weapons are utterly overrated. Gene Hackman has done so much good stuff that this is just a solid performance for him, but David Grant and Clayton Rohner are both great.
