...that the movie within the movie is not well-written and needs a rewrite badly. Ironic, and in a way, very meta. This movie needed a rewrite, very badly. Not very much you can do with a whole lot of superficially written filler bits. But the good parts are good, though you have to sit through all the unnecessary bits to get to them.
A quick side note, Kathy Bates is proof that there are no small parts. She is amazing, but her part is the best-written role, or is she just that amazing. You decide. I already think she is.
And for the umpteen-millionth time, not every movie has to hit the two-hour mark. Edit better, get it tighter and to the point. Seriously, people, geez!
