I dunno, I just couldn't get into this movie.

I found it just a bit too pleased with itself.

It was as if it as telling you it was a Disney classic instead of letting you decide.

The animation is terrific. But i found the songs rather lacking in the lyric department.

They had great production but the words didn't live up to them.

As for the characters, I found the title character a bit to clean-cut or something.

It just didn't click with me.

Excellent performances all round in this superior soap opera melodrama.

It probably could have been cut by a number of hours, due to similar incidents happening a number of times over it's 127 episodes at about 45 mins an ep running.

But the characterizations are great, especially the villeins.

The series convinced me that the best actors male or female are Russian.

Paul Newman's third outing as a private eye. The First two being as Ross McDonald's creation Lew Archer (called Harper in the Movies) . This one isn't as good as the first one ie Harper/The Moving Target. But it's better than the followup ie The Drowning Pool. I could have done without the narration though, although thankfully there isn't too much of it.
