This is a remake of a 2022 Danish film of the same name, directed by Christian Tafdrup and based on an idea of his after he and his family were invited to stay with a family from the Netherlands they had met on holiday. The original was, in my opinion, far superior. This 2024 American remake is a very close imitation of the original at first, but with British and American families, as opposed to Danish and Dutch families, but as the film develops the subtleness of.the original gets lost in.the usual American desire to be action heavy, The ending of the original is far, far better and much more horrific and will leave you cold.

160 acres is a dirt farm more than a ranch, When the Aztec empire only stretched as far as what is central present day Mexico, to believe that the Aztecs were mining for gold in present day Utah is somewhat preposterous.
