  • A tragic story

This movie surprised me in many ways starting from King David ( played by DMX) King is not the type of character people will fall for like Scarface who was an Anti-hero with remorse. Unlike belly, king David is more ruthless and has no pity for the ones he kills. DMX handles the character very well. Not only is he a hell of a good rapper, but he can bring out a performance in a movie that will impress some viewers. David arquette might seem overshadowed by the other actors, but he also plays an important part of this movie. Micheal ealy and Antwon Tanner who plays mike and blue are very likable, in fact they pretty much remind me of Tony Montana and Manolo in Scarface. Clifton powell who plays moon is one that you either love or hate. I just happened to find him a pimp like character who keeps his word, but cannot be trusted. The rest of the cast did an amazing job and the story is well done, but can be twisted at times that people will have to watch it two or three times to get it right. Overall, I think this is one of the best films I've seen and for those who like gangster movies, you won't be disappointed.

  • 2pac forever!

2pac along with Biggie was the main reason why I started listening to Rap. Not only did he have good music, but he also had a story to tell and it influences not only his fans, but other rap artists. This documentary was very interesting to watch and I was amased to see what a strong minded man he was, which is why I respect so even more after seeing this masterpiece. Eminem, 50 cent, Jada Pinkett smith and Snoop Dogg are one of the few that have expressed their feelings towards his death. It was a tragic moment that is defenately not forgotten, but he has left us more music that gives most of us the impression that he is still alive. From his childhood memories to his career, he explains it all in his own words. This is no doubt one of the best documentaries ever to be released.

  • Better than I expected.

I was meant to see this movie when it came out, but there was'nt much time for me. Anyway after renting it and watching the movie, I thought it was a pretty good film. Steven Seagal that he still has a few tricks up his sleeve, though there was'nt much fighting but the action scenes were enough for me to be satisfied. I usually find Ja Rule over rated when it comes to rapping, but as an actor he impressed me and I hope he continues on making more movies, especially kurupt. Morris Chestnut did a fine job playing the villain and Nia peeples was a did great playing Morris' sexy sidekick. However this movie is no match for " Exit wounds", " Glimmer man" and "Cradle 2 the grave", but it is still worth a look. THUMBS UP!
