  • Great puzzle film

I enjoyed the mystery the film interweaved to get to the finale.

We are all a matrix but only because of GOD - nothing more. Nothing comes separate from GOD above. Don't kid yourself.

The world as we know it, was destroyed in a war between robots and humans. While the humans believed they could stop the robots by cutting off their power supply, the robots outsmarted them and made slaves of the humans, who produce more than enough energy to sustain the robot society.

But to keep the humans happy and unaware of their actual situation, the robots have created a virtual world, a false version of 20th-century life. This virtual world is called 'the Matrix'. Neo has always been looking for the truth behind the Matrix and one day he gets the opportunity to find it out, thanks to Morpheus. Morpheus is one of the few humans who once managed to escape and he has been searching for the 'chosen one', the only human who will be capable of defeating the robots. He believes Neo is the one he has always been looking for...

Next to the story, it is the special effects that have made this movie legendary. I guess everybody already knows this, but this was the first movie in which they have used the super slow-motion, called bullet time.

Of course this was a revelation at the time, but even after all these years it's incredibly nice to watch. And there are more interesting things to be found. The makers have used computer animation to its full extend and have done that in an outstanding way. But next to the well developed story and the amazing special effects, there are still the actors.

Sometimes, you might almost forget about them, but they still play an important role in this movie and have done that in a very good way.

  • Stunning Film

I've been on IMDB for over 14 years and the previous poster is correct that over 24,000 people shared this film on Facebook before Facebook banned the filmmaker's account. But I hear it was restored after thousands complained. it's called FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

'Interview with the Antichrist' is simply the 'Best Film of 2021' - you will agree if you're a true, born-again Christian. The world hates this film, but those who truly are BORN-AGAIN will cherish, protect, encourage others to watch it. What I loved most about this film is the Antichrist talks about things that NO ONE talks about:

    • Why are Harley Bikers allowed to scare the elderly - END TIMES BEHAVIOR ALEX!
    • Why are we not allowed to kill sharks that kill children? - END TIMES BEHAVIOR ALEX!
    • Why has the TSA put us in a permanent state of emergency? - END TIMES BEHAVIOR, ALEX!
    • Why is there no outrage over a teenager punching a 90 year-old woman in the face - END TIMES BEHAVIOR, ALEX!

  • decent history involved.

I rather expected the voice to be deeper and more commanding, but that wore off instantly, and Spielberg to his credit gets every scene note-perfect. The scene where soldiers on the field were quoting back to him the Gettysburg Address was heartbreaking--The big guns, to be sure, but everyone in the theater stopped breathing. Spielberg has the mood and light fine-tuned to the point that when the characters are donning shawls against the cold--this in the white house--you shiver. I can'think of a single actor who was not up to snuff, but James Spader as a rascally vote procurer stands out. Sally Field as the troubled Mary Todd Lincoln is a sympathetic gem, and her portrayal should go a long way towards explaining and perhaps inviting history's revision of that unhappy woman. The film focuses most on the nuts and bolts of legislative and presidential processes, and while that may be boring for some,it has such a ring of authenticity and research that it had me scrambling for the history books to check on things I hadn't known. This is the most difficult of all subjects to film, a dense scholarly work translated to popular culture, but it succeeds on all counts. See it, make your children go with you. You won't regret it.
