So, i only watched this out of sufferance, after searching for something on streaming services and not be able to agree with my aftyfarty other half.
No lies, i had no intention of watching a film shot wholly in a car, and only head shot of only 2 actors in the whole film, for over an hour.
Well, i was shocked, of course my girlfriend liked it, it was arty, but i even liked it as well. The acting was sensational, i dont love sean penn, not because of him, but just the roles he usually takes on arent my thing. I do like johnson, but certainly not in everything. Penn was brilliant, his facial expressions and delivery was just amazing. Johnson, well, equally as enthralling, delivered her lines with perfection.
I still cant believe i watched it from start to finish. Didnt get bored, and really enjoyed it.
I hate paying for films on streaming services, as they are nearly always rank..... but this was worth every cent.

Maybe it wasnt to the traditional Marvel Fans taste!
But i thought it was an entertaining watch. Im a bit of a fan of Dakota Johnson, but that isnt to say i like everything shes done. But this was ok, not amazing, but better than the average of 4 its got as a rating.
Story is a bit all over the place, and some of the assumptions are a bit of a leap of faith, or dont quite make logical sense , but it is ultimately a marvel comic character so i assume its the norm?
Sydney Sweeney is really good in this as well, im not sure when this was shot, but she looks all a teenager, and im sure it was filmed recently, considering how she looked and acted in her own film Anyone but You, its amazing she pulled of this teen character so convincingly.
I say watch it, but dont expect it to be a typical Marvel Comic.
Sad thing is, with such a poor performance im guessing they wont make a sequel.

Can't lie, Robbie is easy to watch, but the male actors were equally good in the roles. It was an interesting adaptation of the book. It was a tiny bit slow, but I'm still glad I saw it to the end.
Again, worth watching.
