By and large, the story was entertaining and exquisite. Even though I'm someone who doesn't believe in the paranormal, I found myself caring about the main characters and felt for them as they struggled to find their way. The main actor who played Geordie had tremendous energy and lovable awkwardness while the actress who played Max was wonderfully unassuming and radiant. A lot of the music lifted the action and there were plenty of unique filming locations to keep the story fresh.

There were some goofy side characters which should have been written out. By doing that, there could have been some room to show Geordie's growth after Max finished her bucket list.

I still was extremely impressed, it was a lot more enjoyable than I anticipated.

This felt like a soft core adult movie, not an honest attempt to convey struggles that service workers faced during the pandemic. If this were a story about two friends who made ends meet by utilizing their skill sets, it perhaps could have gone somewhere. There was nothing funny or thrilling about the situations that the two barely attractive main characters faced.

I'm not knocking the fact that this is a low budget endeavor- I often give leeway to such movies. I'm criticizing how stupid the script was and how no rational person would be entertained by it. The first few reviews on here probably were supplemented by Chat GPT.

This movie has such a natural cadence, it's not over the top or pushy at all. It's a beautiful story about love, friendship, grief, and inclusion. The script is air tight and leaves no room for error - it's truly a masterpiece in its own right.

The writers take a simple premise (a young man moving to a new school after the passing of his father) to a new level. After a scuffle with a school bully, Jax is given the option between suspension or volunteering at the after school buddy program. Naturally, Jax picks the club and meets a student named Charlie. The strongest part is how Charlie (who has Down Syndrome) and Jax (who is known for his athleticism) can relate to one another and yet also learn from each other.

It's a gentile and entertaining movie that allows the characters to speak for themselves, instead of relying on an agenda. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
