I choose this movie because I thought it would be a cult carefully made movie, maybe similar experience like "the wailing". Otherwise, I am not fund of Indian movies and cinema, while I have the greatest respect towards them.
This movie has a great subject and interesting backstory, but the greatness ends there. The movie is a train wreck to be honest. The visual effects are extremely unbelievable and cartoonish, one of the worst. I am not sure if it is because I can not understand their language, but the acting also feels cheesy and unbelievable. The worst part of the movie is the logic. The contestants go to the "island" via a boat, so how the investigators go there with a truck? What is their exact intention of going to the island? With all crew dead, who edited the movie for Raman to watch? If the crew are not entirely dead, why none of them talks to Raman? And many other errors like these make the movie demonically bad!
So while I wanted to like this movie, unfortunately it is a bad film. One of the worst movies I've seen in recent years.

This is the fifth movie of the omen franchise, and it is a prequel to the events of the movies.
So, where to begin? Honestly, this is a bad movie. Bad acting with boring, tedious storyline makes this one of the worst movies I've seen recently. The story is so boring, and it has many unnecessary events, that you can start watching from around 30-40 minutes in, 2x speed, and you won't miss anything. If this was a half hour movie, it still wouldn't be good, but better. The movie also fails to scare. It is almost a dry drama with some jump scares, and believe me, having a couple of disgusting birth scenes is not helping.
Even though some seemingly big names are in it, the acting is so bad that this is almost like an independent low-budget B horror movie and not an installment to the mighty omen series.
The bottom line: even for me, an omen series fan, this is a bad, boring, wannabe horror movie, and it is painful to watch. 4/10.

In this movie, a late night show host, desperate for ratings, does some paranormal experiments live on air on the Halloween night of 1977.
This movie right now has a rating of 7.4 with 13k votes, which by the scale of the horror movies is like 9 for regular movies, so as a horror fan I've watched it as soon as I could.
I really wanted to like this, I really did. It is a unique story as mentioned by other reviewers, the setting is great, acting is great (specially Mr. Dastmalchian), the movie is really engaging and not a bad at all, totally watchable. So what's the catch? In my humble opinion, it is not scary. It has some scary moments, but in overall, I didn't find it scary.
Most horror movies have some main elements that are scary or at least creepy for everyone, like new house, peculiar entities, etc., but late night shows are not creepy in nature, so maybe they needed some more preparations or backstories for the viewers.
In conclusion, this is not a bad movie, it is unique, has its moments and acting is great. In general, it could be better (or worse), but it is watchable, specially for horror fans, but do not expect anything groundbreaking or extraordinary.
