  • Great way to kill time if your an anime fan

The animated television show Cat's Eye was based off of a comic created by Tsukasa Hojo of City Hunter fame. It was the story of three girls who ran a cafe during the day and moonlighted as daring art theives at night. It's seems that the girls father, the famous painter Micheal Heinz had vanished and one of his creations held the secret to the mystery. Making the matter even further complicated was the fact that most of the stuff was turning up in the hands of dangerous criminals. Not a great show, but not with out it's charm either. Described as sorta of a Lupin III shoujo (girls manga) style, show Cat's Eye was fun if a bit repetitive. One thing I Could not figure out was how Toshio became a police detective in this show. The Theives are called Cat's Eye which consist of three girls, who might I add don't wear masks. Then there is a cafe called Cat's eye ran by three girls right next to the police station for crying out loud ! Oh well Cat's Eye is still a classic and the theme song is lovely, anime from a bygone era.

  • A twisted horror comedy that pulls no punchs'.

Teenage punk and all around dim bulb Freddie has just managed to land a job at a medical supply warehouse. Freddie's equally dimwitted supervisor Frank, lets him take a peek at a cannister of toxic gas meant to be used as a weapon by the millitary. The two accidently let loose the stuff in the cannister, and through a seires of comic mishaps raise the dead from their graves. Meanwhile Freddies freinds are in a nearby graveyard having a party, and you can pretty much guess what's gonna happen from there. Mean spirited horror/comedy from Dan O'Bannon who creates some likeable characters, and inspite of the slapstick still manages an atmosphere of dread. Some awesome zombie effects (the tar man is very scary)and crowd pleasing gore make this movie a must for zombie fans. The ending is exteremely down beat and cruel, it never fails to send a small chill down my spine. The soundtrack ain't to shabby either.Highly Recommended

  • Great way to kill an afternoon

A murderous surgeon (Robert Lansing) concots a twisted scheme to win his missing daughters inheritance money, by transfroming a Jane Doe (Judith Chapman) into her double. Twists within twists make the rather convoluted plot entertaining. Lansing's character is a real creep, and Chapman who plays both the daughter and Jane is superb. Over all this movie is a fun little Hitchcock wannabe that amuses till the closing credits.
