  • Sad but true...

After reading all the above comments I also felt like to comment on the film that I grown up watching. I watched this film when I was just 8yrs. old and one scene that still fresh in my mind is the climax. It is so heart wrenching and sad that you just can't stop the tears blow out of your eyes. Though I watched the film several more times but you can understand the magic of this film which left a strong impact in 8 yrs' old boy's mind. Kamal Hasan and Sridevi are at their best in the film. And Another clap for the superb directions of Balu Mahendru & Hrishida. Film's music also out of the time and goes pretty well with the film's each and every scene. What more to say, just watch it for your own sake if you are a true cine-lover.

  • Good Friday!

Though I have seen this film much before it released in India after a 2 years of long legal battle. And all the pirated CDs/ DVDs of the film were already available in the black market before its release. One of the best piece of cinema come from the Bollywood. And the film too has earned all the acclaim from the critics it deserved. A highly acclaimed piece of controversial cinema. The story is about the 1993 Mumbai Bomb Blast which was the result of 1992- 93 Hindu-Muslim riots happened in Mumbai. And the film is based on a Mumbai daily newspaper Mid- Day's crime reporter S. Hussain Jaidi's book Black Friday. Since I am from the Mumbai and I had witnessed all the above incidents personally so I had the better idea about the film too. And finally film has given me the complete information of Bomb Blasts. How and why it took place, who were behind all this and how police detained all these conspirator everything. Depicting a period in a Bollywood film have never been an easy task. And believe me Director Anurag Kashyap came all above to these hurdles to deliver a masterstroke. Let it be the Cinematography of Surendranathan, filming on the real locations of bomb blast or brilliant performance of the Kay Kay Meonon in, then Addtitional Commissionar of Mumbai Police Rakesh Maria's role, everything was at its best. Detaining the conspirators in Red lighting background was quite awesome too and very new to Indian Cinema. Anurag knows better to bring out the real performances from his men. One man who really deserve an standing ovation is Aditya Shrivastava in Badhshah Khan's role whole later turned a police approver. And he has passed all these examination and given the best performance. Pawan Malhortra in Tiger Menon's role and Vijay Mourya in Dawood Ibrahim's role was also looks real rather than reel characters. A great team work was quite visible in the final outcome. And last but not the least is the superb fusion Background Score by the Indian Ocean.
