Top notch wonders in celluloid (or pixels)

What's up with the remake frenzy these days. Why can't we just leave things as they are. "Good and familiar". Why would directors and producers disrespect the fine craftsmanship of their predecessors in film and in most cases ruin a perfect composed piece of art. Here's a score in messed up reboots
