I thought the effects for this show after watching two episodes are terrific. It is a visually stunning show in that regard, but like House of Dragons, the script and acting lets it down.
Maybe I've been spoilt by Jackson's version and the first rate acting in his Ring films but at this stage I care nothing for the characters or story.
Marvel could certainly do themselves a solid and watch the effects in this show...they are extremely well done. As is the cinematography.
Unfortunately, everything else is kind of passe.
I would highly recommend it for 8- to 14-year-old children, but any Tokien fans and lovers of his books should probably stay away.
Saying this. I'll give it another few episodes to see if the story and acting improve.

A crappy spiteful film..mean in it's attitude...empty in it's content and just plain stupid. Harly Quinn proves she's a side-kick for a reason.
To be avoided at all costs unless you want nothing from a film but colourful vomit.
Scorsese drags out this crime drama containing some good scenes but no tension or suspense and some very casual acting kills a movie which is a combination of movies you've seen before..Pacino is the only guy on his game here and the digital creations of the stars in their youth just look creepy..watch only if curious.
