The show seems to have changed a lot lately. It started out as a cozy mystery now it's just campy. I'm not sure why it's changed, if they've switched writers or what, but what was once good, is now barely tolerable. I wish they would go back to a cozy mystery style rather than the cartoonish style shows.
The actress playing Havers has got to go. She's a terrible actress, it's like she's just reading lines. She does that uptalk where her intonations rise at the end of her sentences. She's a really bad fit and her acting seems so forced. I thought Lynley's character was well cast, but it's hard to follow the story because of how annoying the actress who plays Havers is. She needs acting lessons or to be recast. Please don't put her in future episodes.
I had high hopes for this show but was sadly disappointed. The lead character gets herself into too many bad situations and a lot of.them are due to her having no common sense and just being careless. Plus all of a sudden they were all speaking Spanish with no option for English. I clicked on the audio which said English, but it was still Spanish. They are all fighting against each other, so rather than it making you laugh, you're stressed out the entire show. The show just seems chaotic and it's poorly written. Actresses are fine, but the script just induces anxiety. Grandma, Daughter and granddaughter all seem like selfish, shallow characters.
