How much better can this show get? The leap from season 1 to 2 is nothing short of miraculous! Everything went up a level and the performances were quite special.
This is a show that caused a stir based on the $1B price tag for the rights and seemingly nonstop bad luck with the production of the 1st season. Season 2 is a greater measure of what this show can be.
It's not slow pacing wise and it isn't hodgepodged together in a rush. Enjoy the feature length episodes 1 hour + each in duration and almost always driving the story forwards without it feeling expositional or forced. The best performance is certainly up for grabs in this epic.

This anime is novel in a way sure, however it lacks quality and seemingly an earnest audience as there is simply no way this deserves the ratings it has received.
Slow paced which isn't offensive in itself but it also makes the mistake of being ultra boring on top. The characters are infinitely forgettable and there seems to be plenty of inaccuracy regarding way of life and feats accomplished.
I will be the first to admit after the lofty praise I heard for this show I was expecting it to not be out of place next DS, JJK, MHA and so forth in terms of quality and captivating story. There are very little user reviews for these episodes as well which is a tell take sign its accolades are being manipulated.
