Whimsical, warm and witty.
Another great French fim with invention, creativity and heart. The casting and performances are spot on with just enough side plots.
There is character development aplenty, more than you would expect from a romantic comedy. Everything works.
There's a lid for every pan.

There is more creativity in the opening titles than in 2 hours of most Hollywood films. Some great character actors with small parts that build a fascinating and funny movie.
Its worth watching for the musical duet/orgasm scene which was referenced in Amelie.
It made me vegetarian for around 3 hours.

Pretty accurate D-Day film. 3 different directors, with each nationality speaking their own language with subtitles. This works very well.
Some good performances from Richard Burton, Robert Mitchum and Richard Todd.
The film is only slightly tarnished by an ancient John Wayne and the silliness of the parachute hanging near the bells. Simply didn't happen.
Interesting for having a Bond plus 2 Bond villains in a WW2 film.
