If this appeared 30 years ago, maybe it could come across as fresh and somewhat 'clever'.
Now, it just screams "I'm so desperate to be clever, but I'm just not, so let's get the characters to just be shouty stupid silly, cram their mouths w trite common lines, and hope everyone watching see us as so clever, boo-hoo-hoo 😥"
Not a chance! Just totally below par scripting and annoyingly over-acted by almost all the cast - possibly the director(s) fault. Oh yes btw let's throw in a gay couple just for the sake of it.
Too too many much much better scripted couples-type comedies have been put out there already - Oi writers and directors ... in case you're still asleep. 😴

Watched it just bcs it was the last day on Netflix.
It started off ok then just gets worse and worse in its showy stupidity. Bad idiotic dialogue, laughable cliched parody "acting" by Pacino, plot loopholes more numerous than stars and bigger than Saturn's rings.
Eg. Two guys w rapid fire guns couldn't hit the target barely 10 meters away. Loads more of such looney tunes garbage while pretending to be a serious gangster flick.. Seriously?
Add to that dingus a pompously bad organ refrain at every turn as a schmaltzy topping and there's the s**t bomb!
3 hours long of which at least 2 hours are pointless filler scenes.
Ay-yai-yai! No wonder it was a huge flop when released - totally deserving. Now I gotta live 3 hours longer at the end of my runway just to make up for this!
If u haven't watched it, don't bother, ever!

Does it feel real-life => Nope.
Does it feel staged and practiced => Totally.
Does the 'continuous shot per episode' thingy come across as gimmicky => Totally.
Does it all add up to much => Nope. Rather little.
Is it way over-hyped on => Totally.
Was acting good => Okay. Nothing great nor to find fault with.
Was the dialogue natural and believable => Nope. Sounds stilted and rehearsed.
Reflects how police officers, lawyers, counselors actually behave and talk => Not at all. Official folks all being over-the-top polite and mechanically 'professional' and efficient and so very timely is creepily laughable.
Worth a watch => Meh.
