I'm not sure if they're doing it deliberately, just to annoy, but, in the very first episode, they have a chap very clearly misunderstanding, and misusing, the phrase 'begging the question'.
To 'beg the question', of course means: "To take for granted without warrant; esp. In to beg the question: to take for granted the matter in dispute, to assume without proof." - OED
Why?

I enjoyed the first season very much, and was looking forward to this one. So I was very disappointment.
The plots are just silly. All the actors seem to be on some sort of go-slow strike.
The script, compared to the first series, is terrible. There's none of the sharp wit and repartee, and what humour there is is weak, childish, obvious, and often slap-stick.
Have the writers changed? Is it a new director? Was the production short of funds?
It's difficult to tell why it has declined so very sharply so quickly.
