  • Boring

Glad to see Norman back. Seeing Hannah together with Norman and Chad makes it apparent that she should choose Norman. Chad the prosecutor always rescuing Hannah from crime scenes just doesn't work. And why is he always investigating these cases? That's not his job. I guess his thing is always grabbing the gun from the murderer. Another one where I figured out who it was but the mystery was a bit discombobulated. More Andrea and family, less Delores please. This series is way past its prime. Unfortunately, Hallmark succeeds by having viewers who are creatures of habit and want to see their favorite actors on screen regardless of quality. Alison Sweeney is savvy enough to know how to bank on that. I'll probably watch the next one and then might be done.

  • Going downhill

I used to love this series but all the creative changes are getting really tired. Chad should have been Mike's replacement on the force-him investigating cases makes no sense. Delores is beyond insufferable. Why is she even investigating cases now? The fun of this series was watching Hannah investigate cases with her love interest(s). Instead, they've elevated the roles of her mother and sisters. And where is Andrea's family? I'd rather see them over Delores. As for this case, I figured out the murderer and the motive right away. So obvious. The Ashley Williams cameo was super random but I guess it makes sense given she and Ali just filmed a duology together.

  • Jeremy Jordan couldn't save it

As a theater geek, I loved Season 1. It showed all the inner workings of getting a new show to Broadway. Then inexplicably in Season 2, the show negates all the character development from Season 1 and brings in Jeremy Jordan as a new lead. I love Jeremy but I think he was miscast here and he had no chemistry with love interest Katharine McPhee. I'll never understand why they wrote out Dev. The worst part of Season 2 though was the focus on new show Hit List. I had a lot of trouble getting through most of Season 2 because the Hit List stuff just didn't hold my interest. Such a shame it seems like the show overall got hit with too much network interference in Season 2. The series does end on a good note though and the last couple episodes wrap things up nicely and call back to Season 1. I especially enjoyed the full cast number in the finale. This show is at its best when it's focusing on Bombshell and characters are supporting that. If you're a theater fan, you'll love the cameos and the ever rotating cast of Broadway guest stars plus a nice arc from Hallmark star Luke McFarlane.
