I've just watched this movie on local cable. Never knew about it, never heard about it. Watched it only because of Alain Delon.
I don't know how it gets so high rating of 7.7 as of September 2025 - to me it nothing more than 5/10 - considering it's a very old movie, with some nice actors and famous director.
Still, it failed to impress me. Everything was so slow and shallow, empty frames with no cars and no people, despite it seemed a big city. Everyone were playing on the stock market maybe, that's why the empty streets? Lol
First one hour almost put me to sleep, I barely kept watching. The story became vivid when Delon finally took leading role - but that happened just 40-45 minutes before the end.
The whole plot was that he wants to kiss her and she's not giving a kiss. They were roaming empty streets, speaking empty dialogues, and doing nothing in particular.
Come one people, even tho I'm a big fan of Alain Delon - this movie can't receive a big rating. It's too boring and shallow.
I've seen other movies with the young Alain Delon which weren't anything good, but it seems this one was the worst.

Overall - I liked the movie much more than the previous 3 series featuring Chris Pratt.
The script was better, there were no traditional "dinosaur taming by hands", there were no unnecessary drama, military presence, parks with many people or billionaires with sick ambitions.
I only did not liked the mutation of T-Rex, which looked like the Rankor of Star Wars. The solder between the family with the children and the secret team was well made, and although I had criticism of some of the characters - things were normalized by the end, and there was even a dose of cute family drama.
For first time, in many years, I have not been annoyed by the new actors and actresses - which is a good certificate. I think they all played the roles well, without overplaying and without unnecessary manners. It reminded me of the good times when the movies were made really for entertainment, not for making billions of profits.
I give it high 8/10 because I am a fan of the franchise, and I was disappointed with the previous three productions. And also because I am grateful to Steven Spielberg that for 40+ years has maintained sci-fi genre (my favorite genre) in a good overall condition.
I will definitely would wanna watch this movie one more time, and I don't care about the low rating and the bad reviews.

I have just watched it, and I feel entertained! Not only because I'm a big fan of the franchise, but also because I like Tom Cruise, and he's the main reason Hollywood still to be mentioned in the past ~15 years.
Of course Mr. Cruise have a lot of haters, who hate him because he's successful, because he's rich, because he's too short, because he's an scientologist, or for whatever other reason a hater can think about.
Now for this Final Reckoning part 2 - as I wrote, I feel entertained. It was kinda too long maybe, but for all the 3 hours I didn't touched my phone once. I guess that speaks for itself.
There was enough action, intense scenes, intrigue, thrilling music and not a bad acting. When they showed the crew at the beginning, everyone looked so old..... And when I realized how old this franchise it - I also felt old.
Honestly, Final Reckoning offers everything that this genre can offer, and that hate on Tom and all the good movies he's been part of - makes no sense.
Mission Impossible has been always on the top, and no other franchise of the agent-genre can brag with so many successful movies.
I applaud all the crews for the great work in the last 30 years!
I give it 9/10 because I appreciate the good effort to make the finale remembering.
Or.... was this really the finale??
It didn't looked like that to me... lol.
