I haven't enjoyed a sitcom in years, but watched this by chance and was intrigued. It started bumpy, but by the end seems like it will make for a good show, assuming the producers CAN whomever is forcing the CANNED laughter.
I'll give it another one or two episodes, as I want to like it, but the only genuinely laugh-out-loud funny moment occurred during the credits roll.
Has potential, with a different twist to the typical filmed at a bar sitcom, with a looming protagonist. Refreshing concept, assuming they can let the jokes flow a little better next episode, since the really tense mood should be gone, or at least significantly less looming.
BUT FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, THE CANNED LAUGHTER MUST GO. THIS WILL KILL THE SHOW SO FAST.

I'm in the second camp. Had no idea what this show was about or that it was even based on books, and I really have enjoyed the first 5 episodes so far. Have never seen a good vampire TV series, and this seems like it's got just enough to keep things on topic, but not to scare off folks like me who thought True Blood was trash, and there was that one on SyFy that was OK, for like three episodes, but it somehow lasted years. I just hope it doesn't go the path of so many other great series that premiered on Fox that were never given a second season, even when they'd have been stars at any other network. Fox loves to cancel good shows, so I guess we'll see.
I'm still not sure what the first season or even the next episode holds, but I'm definitely going to be watching for as long as it's on the air (hopefully that's at least more than one season).

It's about 5% different than Brickleberry, probably just enough to make it legally a different show. Brickleberry v1.1 if you will.
If you liked Brickleberry and wanted more, then you'll probably like this.
If you were hoping to see an actual "new" show, and not just Brickleberry with a sex change, then you're going to be disappointed.
