If film was a mafia which pointed a gun to your head and asked you to laugh then the film would be dostana. If you want to go for a movie with stupid gay jokes and confused people then this is the film you should be watching. Abhisekh Bacchan plays a nurse and John Abraham a fashion Photographer in LA. they both need a place to stay so all they could find in priyanka chopra's house. to top it all the only way they could get the house was by pretending to be gays. the film was funny in parts but the total plot was hackneyed. the sizzling priyanka chopra was the only solace the men could look forward to. But the women folks need not worry because they could fill their heart and minds with the butt show by Mr. Abraham. The best part of the movie is its music and sleek editing. kudos to vishal shekhar for working up magic once again. but overall this movie is just a time pass and if you are game for serious comedy and sweet story i suggest you stay away from this film.
the "ishtyle",the good luck and the "phoormullah"...thats Tashan. this movie is all about attitude.the film starts with a smart shot where a car sways from side to side and suddenly crashes over and fall from a cliff...and then we have Jimmy cliff narrating the story. the films takes a fine narrative. the "phoren" accent and the way the film moves keeps u wondering whether ur watching a bollywood movie.
Jimmy cliff, a call center executive, a smart "dasching" man, a cassanova, who is swept off his feet by the pretty, sultry siren Pooja singh. Butlittle does he know that this lust would prove to be too costly forhim. but then u cant stop people from living life on a razor edge. but little did he know that this lust would transform him .His Englishprowess charms our Bhaiyyaji...but its doesn't take long to slam the axe to ur own feet and that what exactly Mr. Jimmy does. stealing money from the bad , ugly Bhaiyyaji is nothing short of suicide....
The confusion increases when Bachchan Pandey enters the party with his Enfield. what follows is a journey where everyone reinvents themselves. the music is groovy and awesome. the film is at times dull when some over imaginative things happen such as the car falls from the cliff yet both akshay(Bachchan Pandey) and saif(jimmy cliff) manages to stand on the water...
but all in all the film is lot influenced from the stylish English flicks and uses rustic humor to tickle your funny bone. at time you might wonder about the incredible things that happen in the film but for that i have only one answer "its all about the Tashan"...

with all you guys who have seen lord of the rings and ben hur a good advice please don't venture for this... Mr. Asutosh(the director) was in all sorts of troubling while the movie was shot, from Miss aishwariya becoming Mrs. and death of a crew member. it seemed like nothing was going right for this movie. and after the movie released it seemed to land itself into all types of controversy. But all this pain would have been worth if only the movie was interesting. half way through the movie it seemed like the only job akbar did was to spend time with his gorgeous wife, sometimes dance, get involved into semi saas bahu problems. the movie had its own positives. the music was awesome but certainly not the reason why you should pain yourself and sit through three hours wondering whether apart from few historical facts anything else was half as interesting. Ashu's caliber as a film maker has been completely overshadowed by a weak , and i would dare to say non existent story line. the sets where done with great grandeur but only if good sets could make an interesting movie!!! on an ending note, this movie has not been upto the mark and at the end of it all, i think ashu could have done a little better the jodha akbar..
