Yoon So Ah played by Shin Sae Kyeong is a neuropsychiatrist whose family has been tasked to serve the water god for centuries. Ha Baek (Nam Joo Hyuk) is the said water god who travels to Earth to find a magical stone and becomes entangled with So Ah after discovering he has lost all his powers. Together they search for the stone and become closer when they combat other gods and along the way they become romantically involved. An enjoyable fantasy drama but just falls short in many areas.
Choi Yoon-Ji plays Lee Hyo-Ri a medical student who suddenly drops out and begins to rebel. Her mother Lee Ji-An (Yum Jung-Ah) is a straight talking construction site manager who is initially furious. The mood soon changes when it transpires that the reason for her daughter's behaviour is that she has a brain tumour and is coming to terms with what that means to her life. As is often the case in Kdrama they end up in the countryside where they meet old flames and new people who quickly become family. The series has great characters and the cast all do a sterling job as we see see the relationships of young and old evolve and develop. A story that will make you cry but never becomes too maudlin with it's positive message.
Seo In-guk plays Kang Ji-sung a chaebol who lives in France and shops the latest fashions and due to his keen eye has many followers as he develops trends. He returns to Korea to take charge of the company but loses his memory due to a suspicious accident and his family thinks he is dead. He ends up in the care of Ko Bok-shil (Nam Ji-hyun) a kindly soul who has come to Seoul to find her estranged brother after her grandmother dies. It is amusing as Ji-sung tries to recover his memory but still continues to spend Bok-Sils hard earned money on frivolous things. Overall an entertaining watch with good performances from the entire cast. Could have done with being shorter and a little more going on with the supporting cast as it is a slow development of the inevitable end.
