The first impression anyone would get after watching this episode is "awesome." Though this series seemed bit sloppier and slow lately, this episode brought Homeland back on track. This episode keeps your heart pounding and tantalizes your imagination as to what would happen next and at the end - it is just 'WOW.' Carrie and Saul were at their best. It was really nice to see some matured acting from these actors.
Now I can't wait to see the next episode. I hope that the writers would keep up this pace in the coming episodes. It is indeed a great challenge for the writers to keep the flame burning. Thumps up for the writers from the coming episodes.
I personally rate this episode 9.9/10

This episode seems very sloppy. Saul's relationship problem and Carrie's pregnancy seems irrelevant to this episode. However, these two aspects show the real struggle in the personal affairs even in the midst of saving country. It has realistic touch. The plot does not seem so exciting. With regard to Broody, we do not know what is happening with him. I began to think, that he is no more needed in the series. Writes should think out of the box and add the originality that Homeland used to have. There are so many lose ends that writers must think of reconciling them. Another character that seemed pointless to me is the would-be CIA director. I hope this character will be developed further. with all its negativity, I hope this series will excite us.
The third episode of new season really was exciting. I didn't see the twist coming. It was quite unpredictable. However, the first two were bit slow and sloppy but this episode got Homeland on track. The acting was very much engaging especially that of Clarie Danes and Mandy Pantinkin. The suspense was very subtle and dexterously maintained in the first two episodes. I believe the writes deliberately made the former episodes bit slowly to hit the audience with the thrill and suspense in the third episode.
I will give 8 out of 10 for this episode and I can't wait to see what lies next in Homeland! For those who thought Homeland is out of Game, well it is Game ON now...Let's wait and see how this season plays on.
