  • If you know anything about the mafia, don't waste your time. Really.

Kevin Connolly may have been one of my favorite characters on the show Entourage as the level headed "E" but man...he was all over the place with his direction on this movie. I'm a huge mafia connoisseur. Very well read and informed with Both New York and Chicago mainly but also Philly and Sicily. At no point at any time did I feel the pacing was right in this movie. I have to echo so many other of the reviews, this movie is ALL OVER THE PLACE. One minute he kills someone, then he's old in prison, THEN he's young in prison. It was like cinematic epilepsy.

Definitely miscasting. Gravano, Junior, Angelo big time. I do think they did an excellent job casting The Chin. That's probably the one positive I can say about the movie. While his role brief, I thought cast, look, and acting were spot on.

  • Dinkleman is freakin hilarious

I thought this movies was pretty darn good but Chris Klein made it for me. I like him in American Pie and American Pie 2 but for the most part I thought some of his other movies are pretty lame. Rollerball anyone? I never saw him playing a character like this but his character really made the movie for me. Obviously Amy Smart and Ryan Reynolds are good but Klein's scenes had me reeling. "Anybody wanna sing xmas carols to celebrate the birth of our lord"? Freakin hilarious. Overall this movies was alright but Dinkleman will go right up there as one of the most well played douchebags in movies. Anyways, I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it to someone who wants a laugh. Also, Ryan Reynold's brother who has been in other stuff (just can't think of the movies right now) was also really good.

  • Good Movie

I really liked this movie. I have a thing for late 80's action flicks like Beverly Hills Cop or 48 hrs. I thought this was pretty good movie. One of the members on here said Belushi's character was the worst part of the movie. I thought Belushi was pretty good and comedic. I love the dialogue in the movie between Danko and Ridzik at the coffee shop. Overall I would definitely recommend this movie. I also find the content to be appealing. Russian Mob and drug smuggling. I also thought the bad guy Viktor was a really cool part played by Ed O'Ross who also plays Dutch Schultz right hand man in Hoodlum which is not nearly as good as Red Heat.
