Donald Barrett was born in Chicago Illinois and at the age of 3 he became facinated by drums and began to develop and work on his craft.... "I was always amazed at the drummer in church, It just seemed like he had so much presence and command over his hands and feet I couldnt help but be drawn to the drums" For the next 15 years Donald worked hard practicing and learning how to play diffrent styles ranging from Gospel, Jazz and Classical...After a scholorship offer to Northern Il univeristy Donald spent two years there learning and Growing as a musician and in july 2000 Donald decided to hit the seas with Carinival Cruise Lines.. For 3 years donald worked for the crusie company traveling and working with diiffrent showbands.."For me it was I believe the turning point of my musical career, I began to devolop the art of working with diffrent artist and also because we worked 5 nights a week my sight reading continued to improve" Donald Barrett relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 and picked up his first gig on the first day of his arrival!!! Currently Donald Barrett tours with A list artist and is also busy Kicking off his own band LEXINGTON QUEEN!!!
