  • Beautiful film

During the first 20 minutes I was not sure where the film was going. It was beautiful and the music was perfect and it had funny scenes and serious scenes but unlike most films I was not able to guess what was inside. But I liked that too. Nothing predictable with a slower pace than I am used to but then the film started to open up and the experience was one of my favorite time in a movie theater. My wife and I will see it again.

Funny thing happened after the film. Couple from Nepal asked me if I liked the film. I told them I loved it. I told them how beautiful it was and that my wife and I were going to see it again. I asked them if they liked it and they said so much that it was already their second time seeing it.

    I highly recommend this film!!!

  • Beautiful and touching movie

It is not an easy movie to review without spoiling it. First of all, the word Monster in the title is misleading. There is no physical monster like in a horror film. It is a movie about these people that we get to better understand as the movie proceeds and how what we think about them changes as we learn about what is going on inside them. There are their physical activities that are easy to see. That is true for most people we meet and see every day. Even people we are close to or live with. We can tell you what they did or what they said but neither may be helpful in understanding what is going on inside them. Knowing what is really going on inside another person takes a different kind of interaction, a different perspective. This film takes us on a journey inside a group of people like no other film I can remember. It is a beautiful and deep film.

  • How do we see seasons 7+

Charming and funny and interesting. Hoping some service picks up the seasons starting with 7 since Acorn stops at 6. She is like a French Columbo and she is fun to watch. The plots are interesting and playful but they are also varied which allows you to watch a few episodes without getting bored. Her family stays the same but her crew changes from time to time with different personalities and issues for Candice to deal with and that adds to the depth of the series as well. The cases are topical and there is a lot of divorce and love and children mixed in. There is even a story about a dog. I would love to meet her.

  • Fantastic

Complex feelings. Fluid family relationships. Some edge of your seat tension but every character is fully explored and every actor is perfect. This is one of my favorite films. The script and the editing and the camera angles and the direction are all perfect. I would change nothing. No one is completely good or bad. Everyone makes mistakes. Every character is so real that you believe they will come through their mess and come out the other side. Not everyone can but they all try. The heart in this film is the center and like a family they all move in and then away and then back. It is just such a great film. I loved it.

  • Fantastic

Love this series about an attorney in South Korea with autism.

In fact, it is the best dramatic tv series I have ever seen. Extraordinary acting and writing. Film is beautifully shot and direction is great. Huge sets and cast and extras galore. It has a deft touch that balances wit and drama and surprises from all directions. The lead actress is captivating and quirky and beautiful and wicked smart. Plus, we learn a lot about the legal profession in South Korea. There are touching scenes followed by humor followed by heavy drama.

I cannot stress enough now brilliantly executed this series is to watch.

  • Slow in a good way

Everything moves slowly but deliberately and tge performances are great. Karen Allen is so good in the lead role as she helps us see that fine line between being in control and being lonely.

  • Much much better than I expected

It feels like we were watching real people over a weekend in Wisconsin and we liked them all. It is sad and cute and funny and slowly reveals a deeper middle. The pace is slow but it is very effective at pulling you in.

  • Edge of your seat great

This movie is everything a great movie should be. Takes you to a place where you can't look away. You go back and forth following the conversations and you feel a tension rising and you get drawn in deeper and deeper. I felt like I was there inside that house. It is comic but the drama is always building. Loved it.

  • Movies are movies. Let them be what they are

It is only based on real events. Even documentaries do not tell the whole story. Films based on books skip tons of pages because films are films. Note to the critical reviews: even when u tell stories at dinner I am sure you change things and skip things and add things. It is a movie and I loved it. Fantastic scenery and thrilling. Highly recommend it as a movie nit as a history lesson

  • So much fun

Loved it. Some blood but never serious violence. Like a fun dance with shooting. Whole cast is great. Loved this
