This movie could have been made much better. Poor direction and story telling and maybe even poor casting (other than vicky kaushal and Akshay Khanna) did not help the film. I do understand the popular sentiments behind the film. However the real life king deserves applause and not the movie. Out of the entire run time perhaps half of it was dedicated to slo-mo action sequences, which were not well choreographed either, and resembled your average bollywood flick. Infact the last 20 mins (interaction between Shambaji and Aurangazeb)were more intriguing than the entire film. I hope a better film is made on the maratha empire. This one surely doesn't do justice. Surprisingly, unlike usual, Rashmika was not all that annoying.

First off, this movie is for the family. There's tons to laugh in the second half. Nivin Pauly just steals the whole thing with his acting and self troll. Real credit goes to Vineeth Sreenivasan. He's a genius craftsman. He knows exactly how to make the film click with the general audience. Coming to the film. There's nothing new about the storyline. We can very well predict the course. Dhyan has done well. Pranav struggles. Story begins cheerfully and lags as it inches towards the halftime mark. From then on, it's a rollercoaster of laughs. It's more funny when 100s of people laugh with you. So may not be that good when it comes to OTT. But definitely a one time enjoyable film, that has its ups and downs.
