This is mainly a worthy successor to Bosch (although it never attains that level of brilliance). Maggie Q is excellent, having the screen presence and charisma to pull off the lead role. The supporting cast is equally fantastic, although Michael Mosley is underused, it would have been good to see an actor of his caliber given a meatier role.
A minor quibble: having Maggie Q's character drive a beat-up old Bronco is unrealistic and jarring. A sophisticated and elegant woman like her would not drive that car.
And a major quibble - the strong streak of misandry running through the show is very off-putting and unnecessary. We don't want Hollywood luvvies shoving their nasty identity politics down our throats....

This is an entertaining action thriller, but best not to think too much about the plot holes. The cast was great, although Jason Bateman was miscast. They should have given his role to Logan Marshall-Green, who was criminally underused. Taron Egerton was solid as usual. Production values and pacing were good, although they could have knocked twenty minutes off the run-time.

A pleasant enough watch, albeit very predictable and forgettable. Reasonably good pacing and acting, with good supporting actors, especially Richard Madden. Why did they choose such an awful name for the movie though?
