Just finished season 1. Quick review: I think this show is fantastic.
The score is great - modulations between scenes, everything feels as it should. The visuals are movie-quality, what can we say, every single pixel carefully enters the screen. Cities, nature, everything is gorgeous. The Actors are super solid, can't help but feel empathy for Durin the Dwarf. Overall the production is high up there and surprisingly there are even plot twists.
It will be confusing if you've never seen the movies. Watch the Peter Jackson movies first.
While it's not perfect, but it's way WAY better than what I expected.

Seriously I thought it would get better but now we have some officers swearing and unrealistic action scenes.. It's not getting better.
They forgot that Star Trek is supposed to have humor. If they keep going like this season 2 will be like Game of Thrones in space with Star Wars mindless pew pew battles.
