I am so disappointed by this latest franchise. Great action is not enough when the plot is weak.
J. J. Abrams keeps disappointing me since the last last episode of Lost.
His productions start grandiose. Eventually the story loses its momentum. To counterbalance action is used to fill the vacuum. Thus I find myself as a great Sci-Fi fan confused.
I love, though, how his movies start. However a movie with just a good start is a movie with a weak plot.
As a summary J.J. Abrams knows how to make a good beginning is, and i am sure he will soon develop good endings too.

Spending large amounts of money is not enough for a good movie. But in a country like Turkey where capital is really rare Cem Yilmaz was lucky. He is a great comedian, and has proved himself as a great entertainer. Thus it was not difficult for him to secure the investment for this big project. That's why we were filled with expectations more than the usual. At the end it was a big disappointment; the script was not strong. The story was weak and so were the jokes. I am sure the next movie of Cem Yilmaz will be full of lessons learned from this movie. We, the Turkish audience, are expecting the next big hit from him. Our expectations are justified when we think about his talent.
The Germany scene is fantastic. It is really one of the best scenes in comedy movies. It is the common scene actually; the hero suddenly is invited to the stage by the dancers to join them for a folk dance. Of course he does not know how the dance the folk dance. But here the fun starts. The dance develops into a fight. See please the choreography. How Chevy Chase starts dancing and getting in tune with the others and then how everything goes out of control. This is real film history.
The other scenes are also great of course. Overall the movie is great entertainment to be watched by family.
Even just for the Germany scene I would give ten stars.
