I saw the previews for this show and I have to admit, I rolled my eyes and had no intentions of watching it. I thought it would be just another time slot "filler" until Fox had some better show to fill it with.
However, one night I was working on something and had the TV on in the background when Raising Hope came on. Halfway through the show I had stopped what I was doing and sat down to watch the rest of the show. The same thing happened the next week...and now I'm actively looking for it on TVguide, only to be disappointed because it looks like the next episode isn't airing until February. What a bummer.
All of the characters are great and as ridiculous as they can be, each one is relate-able at different times. The mother, played by Martha Plimpton has me laughing out loud. The whole cast is just great. The only reason I am giving the show a 9 out of 10 is because of the character Sabrina(The girl Jimmy has a crush on). I noticed that the interactions between those two characters are the only times I am not amused. For some reason her character just rubs me the wrong way.
In all, I love the show and I'll be waiting for new episodes with great anticipation!

I'm a young adult, and not a huge fan of the kids movies these days. Some people would classify this as a kids movie, but I think it's more of a classic. I grew up seeing this on TV every winter, and it's still one of my favorites. The sequels are awful, as are most sequels...but the original Home Alone is fantastic. I STILL laugh when I watch it. It's really one of those "feel good" movies, the kind that make you want to cuddle up on the couch with family and relax and enjoy it.
If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out on a great Christmas movie. Heck, it's even great for a rainy day. Watch it, you'll love it! I wish it were on more often!
