One Mississippi had me hooked from the very first episode and I binged watched the first season in one day. I love Tig's dry sense of humour and the dynamics between her family. The show not only shows the dynamics of Tig's life but also explores that of her stepfathers and her brothers, and all their lives are equally as interesting to watch. The show really draws you in to the sense that you are if not part of the family but a fly on the wall, truly getting a glimpse into a modern dysfunctional family that regardless of their difference and a dark past seem to truly all care for one another. My only gripe about One Mississippi is that the seasons are not long enough for me, considering each show runs for only half an hour and there are only 6 episodes for each season. They definitely leave you hanging wanting much more. I can't wait for season 3. So take the plunge and start watching One Mississippi, you won't regret it.
I was so looking forward to watching Victoria and I have not been disappointed. Having a keen interest in English history, especially of the Royal Family, I am obsessed with this series. I has been anxiously awaiting each new episode. Costuming is perfection, and the actors are are superb. I could not think of anyone better to play Queen Victoria. If you love period drama and English history, you will be enthralled by Victoria. I wish there was more shows like this on television. A definite must for fans of this genre. The betrayal of Lord M and Victoria's relationship may be elaborated a bit, but the basis of this show is worth the watch.
Amityville Playhouse has no association with the original Amityville films, lets say that right from the start. It is a very slow, dull film, with shaky camera and below par acting. I struggle to tell where the budget for this film was actually spent. Usually I would try and find something to redeem a film, but I am really struggling with this production. I do not think even decent acting could salvage this script. It had no real substance to the story line, I kept waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever did. It is an absolute travesty that they used the name Amityville to try and lure people into watching this film.
