Well made, great fight scenes, and an interesting way to take on the whole underworld crime thing. The soundtrack is also great (they got the rights to a Zeppelin song!). Plus, Alice Hewkin is a total fox.
Great choices for actors, and they seem to really have a great way of letting a moment has a pause of silence so we can all take it in. Like, imagine if "The Parent Trap" was actually a mob chopsocky film and no one wants the parents together.
While a couple times I was thought, "ooh they're a bad guy" and I was right, but at the same time, you find out the bad guys actually have good reasons, and that part did feel a little unresolved, because we know the Chinese mafia are not cuddle bears so people against the mafia should be sympathetic, right?
Anyway, excellent comedic bits, fun fight scenes, and Alice Hewkin is a babe.

There have been lots of iterations of The Saint starting with the Golden Age of radio with Vincent Price voicing the smooth Simon Templar... more recently there was the 1997 Volvo commercial version starring Val Kilmer that was pretty good.
This film does not live up to anyone's standards. It is poorly acted, poorly filmed, and poorly written. Quit introducing characters if they don't serve a purpose and stop introducing characters as if we already know who they are. No one can read your mind!
Anywho, it was free on Netflix and now I have shaved two hours off my life like a good little drone. I will completely forget about this movie and then three years from now make the mistake of watching it again and be disappointed a second time. This is my fate and probably yours as well. Sorry.

Never in a million years, after binging 13 seasons of this show did I expect something like that. I am not a member of the LGBTQ community. I will never know what it is like to struggle with my identity in that way... but, and I can't even explain how, the dance number at the end hit me in the gut in a way I will never be able to describe. Good job, gang. Completely out of nowhere!
