  • "Do not judge people by face value.... Including yourself".

"The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination."

Chalo Dilli is a road trip movie, and like all such movies, is centered around two totally unlike strangers who are forced to make a trip together to reach their common destination.A bizarre journey full of adventure, madness and crazy comic moments with the oddest traveling couple ever!! (Lara Dutta travels in airplanes, while Vinay Pathak prefers General Class Rail journey...She smokes Virginia Slims, he chews Gopal Zarda !!)

Through the process in Chalo Dilli, one comes across some real people who teach you some truths of life. Director Shashant Shah has successfully directed a clean comedy (Chalo Dilli), which is not mindless and slapstick.Actors have played their part to perfection with special reference to Vinay Pathak and Lara Dutta.

Though the film is real and hits the right note, there are a few loop holes that comes out clearly. There were a few flat moments in Chalo Dilli, that could have been avoided. Probably, a more crisp and tight writing would have resulted in a more impactive climax.

Over all, Chalo Dilli is an exciting and amusing watch, with terrific moments. If you are looking for a decent light watch, with Indian touch, then Chalo Dilli is something that you can't afford to miss.

  • Welcome change in Bollywood

3 Deewarein has lots of minute punches that will pierce in the senses. It is a film where everything is designed to match the mood. While Ajayan Vincent's cinematography is apt, Kishore Choksi and Praveen do their best in the art department. Together, they make it sure that the atmosphere looks real throughout. The music is just used when it is required most. Editing by Sonjib Dutta is flawless.

It's the performances of actors that will engross you more into the film. The real scene-stealer is Naseeruddin Shah. He shows why he is one of India's best actors. Adding layers of emotion and subtlety to his character, he makes the audience feel for the character right from his very first scene.Juhi is outstanding as well.

But 3 Deewarein ultimately belongs to writer-director Kukunoor, who has the movie firmly under control. Tightly written and well-directed, he shows no nervousness handling a genre different from what he, or other Bollywood filmmakers, have handled before. Still, this movie will not be liked much by those who still have mindsets of 80s and 90s and who crave for crappy songs and clichéd scenes. Otherwise, if you understand what is good and enjoyable, you will definitely fall in love with 3 Deewarein.

  • One of the finest thriller of Bollywood

The Stoneman Murders is an engaging thriller based on the real-life incident of serial killings by a ruthless killer dubbed as the "Stoneman". It takes place in the city of Mumbai, where serial killings are taking place at a rapid pace. Taking its premise from those incidents and referring to media coverage of the case, writer-director Manish Gupta constructs a screenplay that is derived from hard facts where available, and imagination to fill in the gaps.

"The Stoneman Murders" reveals the horrifying secret, like a proper murder mystery should, right at the end. The narrative is linear and non-fussy, the story-telling direct, peppered with some truly chilling moments. The gathering of forensic evidence, the photographs of the corpses, and the sifting that follows is classic detective territory, and the director does a good job of keeping it simple, but keeping it going. Kay Kay Menon takes the film to the heights with his remarkable performance. Arbaaz Khan is good to watch. Vikram Gokhale and Rukhsar are okay. Rest of the cast is average.

On the whole, ʽThe Stoneman Murdersʼ is the finest thriller churned out on Bollywood scene ever. Itʼs an appealing film to watch.
