I was happy to find a new show that was a bit quirky, funny and has Don Johnson--whom I have liked since "A Boy and His Dog." This show focuses more on the medical staff, but I was enjoying it.
Each episode has a theme. One episode was all about a big wedding party. Another was about plastic surgery week and one was single's week, and so on. That I liked.
More and more I have noticed there is getting to be too much sex and the last episode I watched ended with a threesome of the main medical characters. In my opinion, that is getting close to porn and I am not a fan.
It is a shame they can't just write good stories without throwing in gratuitous sex. I don't think I can continue watching this and it is too bad. It seemed like a refreshing idea for a TV series.

It really ticks me off when the entertainment Industry rewrites classic characters to fit today's standards. If they want to do that, they should create their own characters and stop trying to rip off someone else's successful works.
I have been a Perry Mason fan since I was a teenager (many years ago). Even the Raymond Burr series wasn't exactly like the characters in the books, but it was pretty close. There have been other attempts to redo the Perry Mason series. As I remember, those were not too bad but they didn't last.
I wanted to like HBO's Perry Mason. But it was too dark and creepy. In the books, there was always at least one murder victim. Usually, the victim had it coming. Then we got to watch Perry Mason solve the murder and get his client off.
I only watched season 1 and can't bring myself to watch season 2.
