Boy, was I excited when I heard about this one. 28 Days Later was good. 28 Weeks Later was great. I knew 28 Years Later would keep the trend going. How could it miss. But it did miss.... BADLY. It was essentially a 2 hour trailer for the upcoming sequel. It had absolutely nothing to do with the previous movies. The story lines were all over the place, multiple unanswered plots, unlikable characters, fat lazy zombies, roid rage zombies, a weird witch doctor living among the zombies......just a complete and utter mess. And I won't even comment about the ending.
So apparently years after the zombie apocalypse, there's a zombie free, self sustained island and the residents seem to be doing rather well. One guy decides to take his 12 year old son zombie hunting on the zombie infested mainland by foot. The rest is a convoluted mess.
